TRADITIONAL DANCE

  1. Only one entry per Institution is allowed.
  2. Maximum 15 participants allowed per team. The team may consist of all boys, all girls or a mixture of both.
  3. The number of accompanists permissible is five.
  4. Duration of the dance should not be more than 10 minutes. This includes stage setting and clearance.
  5. A copy of a brief note on the description of dance story involved in it, if any, and of the accompanying song, with its meaning in English must be submitted at the time of registration.
  6. All participants must bring their own props/ instruments.
  7. The Judges’ decision will be final and binding.
  8. The participants will be judged based on the following Criteria:
    1. Rhythm – 10 points
    2. Formation – 10 points
    3. Expression – 10 points
    4. Sets on overall effect – 10 points

    Folk Drama

    Guidelines

    1. Only one entry shall be accepted from each institution.
    2. Each team should have minimum of 6 and maximum of 20 participants for the competition.
    3. All team members must be from the same College/University.
    4. A copy of the content of the drama (hardcopy) to be submitted to the coordinators by every competing team before the competition.
    5. Each team will be allotted 20 minutes (max) for performance. This include stage setting and clearance.
    6. It is compulsory to use English language throughout the drama presentation. Nevertheless Vernacular language can be blended.
    7. Use of vulgar words is strictly prohibited.
    8. Participating team can utilize their own additional equipment.
    9. Teams which do not abide by the rules will be penalized.
    10. The decision of the judges will be final and binding.

    2. Mechanics (10%)

      1. Stage presence, execution and team work
      2. Adherence to time limit
      3. Costumes
      4. Props
    5. Positive value/ message. (10%)
