Guidelines for Folk Song Singing
General Guidelines:
The participants will sing folk songs solo in his/her native language.
The performance may take up to five minutes.
A single category (male and female) prize will be awarded as first, second, and third prizes.
Participants must submit the gist or rough translation of the folk song in English. A gist may be a little information about the significance of the folk song.
Accompaniment to traditional musical instruments are encouraged but not mandatory.
The participants must submit the following at at WhatsApp No. 8119971336 before the start of the event:
Full name as to be in certificate
Semester/Department/College
Title of the folk song
Name of the community associated with the folk song
Gist/translation of the song The competition is open to all including external participants
Factors such as articulation, melody, rhythm, and presentation will be observed by the jury members. Traditional attire is encouraged but not mandatory.
The individual competition is open to all students of Tetso College and other institutions.
