General Guidelines:

  1. The theme is "Eunoia" which means ”Beautiful Thinking”. 
  2. Open to all students/professionals/amateur photographers. 
  3. Participants can use DSLRs, mobile phones, or any digital cameras. 
  4. Each digital photo file should contain the photographer’s name, the name of the college and also date & time 
  5. Each participant can submit up to 2 photographs. 
  6. The photo must be in its original state and cannot be altered in anyway, including but not limited to removing, adding, reversing, or distorting subjects within the frame 
  7. Only one image per photographer will be considered for final judgment. 
  8. Caption should be given for the photograph in a separate word file (not in photograph) 
  9. Photographs must be in JPEG or PNG format 
  10. File naming format: ParticipantName_Title.jpeg/png 
  11. Entries will be judged by the experts and all decisions are final 
  12. The judges reserve the right to exclude any photo submitted which they believe may have been excessively edited 
  13. Plagiarism or copyright infringement will lead to immediate disqualification. 
  14. The organizing team has the right to use submitted photographs for promotional purposes (with due credit). 
  15. The decision of the judges will be final and binding.

Judging Criteria

Adherence to Theme: “Eunoia” – Beautiful Thinking
  1. The photo should reflect the essence of the theme "Eunoia" (beautiful thinking). This could be expressed through visual representations of mental clarity, positivity, calmness, or the beauty of the mind.
  2. Judges will assess how well the photograph embodies the concept of “Beautiful Thinking,” considering abstract or literal representations.
Creativity and Originality
  1. Participants should demonstrate originality in their approach.
  2. Judges will evaluate the uniqueness of the subject, composition, and perspective.
Emotional and Conceptual Impact
  1. The emotional depth and conceptual power of the photograph are paramount.
  2. Does the photograph evoke an emotional response from the viewer?
  3. Is there a deeper meaning or concept that can be interpreted from the image?
  4. How effectively does the image tell a story or provoke thought related to the theme?
Overall Impression
  1. This is a subjective evaluation based on the judge’s overall response to the photograph.
  2. Judges will look for photographs that leave a lasting impression in terms of aesthetics, meaning, and technicality.
