General Guidelines:
- The theme is "Eunoia" which means ”Beautiful Thinking”.
- Open to all students/professionals/amateur photographers.
- Participants can use DSLRs, mobile phones, or any digital cameras.
- Each digital photo file should contain the photographer’s name, the name of the college and also date & time
- Each participant can submit up to 2 photographs.
- The photo must be in its original state and cannot be altered in anyway, including but not limited to removing, adding, reversing, or distorting subjects within the frame
- Only one image per photographer will be considered for final judgment.
- Caption should be given for the photograph in a separate word file (not in photograph)
- Photographs must be in JPEG or PNG format
- File naming format: ParticipantName_Title.jpeg/png
- Entries will be judged by the experts and all decisions are final
- The judges reserve the right to exclude any photo submitted which they believe may have been excessively edited
- Plagiarism or copyright infringement will lead to immediate disqualification.
- The organizing team has the right to use submitted photographs for promotional purposes (with due credit).
- The decision of the judges will be final and binding.
- Deadline for submission: 2-03-2025
Judging Criteria
Adherence to Theme: “Eunoia” – Beautiful Thinking
- The photo should reflect the essence of the theme "Eunoia" (beautiful thinking). This could be expressed through visual representations of mental clarity, positivity, calmness, or the beauty of the mind.
- Judges will assess how well the photograph embodies the concept of “Beautiful Thinking,” considering abstract or literal representations.
Creativity and Originality
- Participants should demonstrate originality in their approach.
- Judges will evaluate the uniqueness of the subject, composition, and perspective.
Emotional and Conceptual Impact
- The emotional depth and conceptual power of the photograph are paramount.
- Does the photograph evoke an emotional response from the viewer?
- Is there a deeper meaning or concept that can be interpreted from the image?
- How effectively does the image tell a story or provoke thought related to the theme?
Overall Impression
- This is a subjective evaluation based on the judge’s overall response to the photograph.
- Judges will look for photographs that leave a lasting impression in terms of aesthetics, meaning, and technicality.
