Guidelines for Psychodrama: Mental Health Video Contest

Overview:

  1. Welcome to Psychodrama, an event designed to showcase creative expressions surrounding mental health awareness. Participants are invited to create short, impactful videos that help raise awareness, break stigma, and provoke thoughtful conversation around mental health. Below are the guidelines for the event.

 

General Guidelines:

Participants should explore any aspect of mental health, such as but not limited to:

  1. Personal mental health journeys.
  2. Coping mechanisms and strategies.
  3. Dealing with stigma and discrimination.
  4. Access to mental health resources.
  5. Mental health in specific communities or populations.
  6. Positive messages of self-care, resilience, and support.

 

Video Specifications:

  • Length:
    1. Videos should be 5-6 minutes long.
    2. Content must be engaging and direct while ensuring clarity of message.
  • Format:
    1. Video submissions must be in MP4 format.
    2. The resolution must be at least 1080p.
  • Language:
    1. If the video is in a language other than English, it is recommended to use English subtitles.

 

Content Guidelines:

  • Creativity:
    1. The format can vary: storytelling, documentary-style, animation, skits, etc.
    2. Think outside the box! Creativity in presenting your message will be highly valued.
  • Authenticity:
    1. Encourage participants to use personal experiences, real stories, and honest dialogue to capture the essence of mental health struggles and triumphs.
  • Screening of the videos and announcement of winners:

  1. Screening of the best video submissions will be screened, after which the winners will be announced.

 

Submission Process:

  1. All video submissions must be received by between 24th February – 2nd March, 2025.

 

Evaluation Criteria:

The videos will be judged based on the following factors:

  1. Message Clarity: How clear and effective is the video in conveying its message?
  2. Creativity: How unique and innovative is the approach taken to present mental health themes?
  3. Emotional Impact: How emotionally resonant and thought-provoking is the video? Does it invoke empathy and connection?
  4. Technical Quality: Video and audio clarity, editing quality, and overall production.
  5. Relevance: Does the video stay on topic and address mental health issues authentically?

 

Rules and Regulations:

  • Eligibility:
    1. Open to individuals of all ages.
  • Originality:
    1. Videos must be the original work of the submitter. No plagiarism or use of copyrighted material without permission.
  • Appropriate Content:
    1. All content should adhere to event guidelines and be respectful to all audiences. Offensive language or inappropriate content will result in disqualification.
  • Usage Rights:
    1. By submitting a video, the participant grants the event organizers the right to use the video for promotional purposes across various media platforms.

  1. There will be two winners - 1st and 2nd place
