Sudoku Competition

Guidelines for Sudoku Competition

Objective:

The goal is to fill a 9×9 grid with numbers from 1 to 9, such that each row, column, and 3×3 sub-grid contains each number only once. 

Rules and Regulations:

1. Fill in the missing numbers : Use the number 1-9 to fill in the empty cells
2. Each number only once: Ensure each number appears only once in each row, column, and 3×3 sub-grid
3. No repeating numbers: Do not repeat a number in a row, column, or sub-grid
4. Use logic and reasoning: Solve the puzzle using logical reasoning and deduction
5.  Maximum minute to finish the game : 10 minutes 

Winning Conditions:

1. Complete the grid: Fill in all the missing numbers
2. Participant who completes the grid correctly in the least amount of time will be awarded 1st prize
3. Runner up prize will be the participant who completes the second fastest
4. Meet the rules : Ensure the completed grid meets all the rules 
5. There will be two winners, first and second 

Eligibility Criteria:

1. Open to all students

Submission Process:

1. Names can be submitted on or before 2nd March 2025

Judging Criteria:

1. No External Aids: Competitors are generally prohibited from using any external aids, such as calculators, notes, or online resources.  Use of such aids leads to disqualification.

2. Time Taken to Solve:  The time taken to complete the puzzle is a crucial factor.
