Heritage Fashion Ramp

Theme: Fusion of Tradition and Modernity | "Where Heritage Meets Contemporary Style"

 

Objectives

  • To promote appreciation and preservation of cultural heritage.
  • To provide a platform for creative expression through fashion.
  • To encourage cultural exchange and understanding among participants.
  • To showcase the beauty of traditional textiles, ornaments, and attire through contemporary interpretations.

 

Eligibility

  • The competition is open to all colleges participating in Pow-Wow Lore 2026.
  • Each participating college shall be represented by a team consisting of 2 to 4 participants.
  • Participants must be bona fide students of their respective institutions.
  • Participants must complete the registration process within the prescribed deadline.
  • The decision of the organizing committee regarding eligibility and participation shall be final.

 

Event Rules

  • Participants must wear traditional or heritage-themed attire.
  • Costumes should be culturally respectful.
  • Time limit for each participant/group.
  • No inappropriate costumes or behavior.
  • Participants should report backstage at least 30 minutes before the event.

 

Sequence of the Ramp Walk

  • Introduction of the participating team.
  • Entry of the participants onto the ramp.
  • Individual and group presentation of the attire.
  • Final pose at the designated point on the ramp.
  • Exit from the ramp in an orderly manner.

 

Ramp Presentation

  • Each team will be allotted a specific presentation time.
  • Participants should display confidence, poise, and stage presence during the ramp walk.
  • A short narration explaining the inspiration, cultural significance, and fusion concept may accompany the presentation.

 

Judging Criteria 

  • Authenticity of Attire - 30 Marks
  • Presentation & Confidence - 25 Marks
  • Creativity - 20 Marks
  • Cultural Representation - 15 Marks
  • Overall Impact - 10 Marks

  • Registration Fee: 300/- per participants

 

General Instructions

  • Participants are expected to maintain discipline and decorum throughout the event.
  • Any damage to venue property caused by participants will be the responsibility of the concerned institution.
  • The organizing committee reserves the right to amend the guidelines if necessary.
