Guidelines for Arm Wrestling

Rules & Regulations:

1. 1. All participating must be a student of the participating college and must carry their college IDs at all times.
2. 2. Each match is officiated by two referees, one on each side so the officials can see the competitors and their grip from both sides.
3. 3. Competitors will be given 20 seconds to grip and if the competitors do not make themselves comfortable , it will be called referee grip.
4. 4. The competitors should approach the table, make themselves comfortable and then grip their opponent's hand.
5. 5. Any neutral slip will be straps, slip from losing position will be called as pin
6. 6. The grip should be palm to palm with the thumb knuckle visible. The competitors' other hands should grip their respective hand peg.
7. 7. Competitors can choose to start a match in the referee's grip or in a strip but both competitors must agree to this.
8. 8. Once the referees are happy with the grip from both competitors, the contest will begin.
9. 9. Two warnings = 1st  foul and 2nd foul equals disqualification meaning that their opponent immediately wins the match.
10. 10. Both the players should maintain a shoulders square before the match begins.
11. 11. Any movement during the referee grip will be counted as foul.
12. 12. There will be two categories i.e., left hand and right hand.
13. 13. Only Open Weight Category.
