About the Competition: 

Eligibility

• The competition is open to all registered (UG & PG) students.
• Participants may compete as solo performers or group performers.
• Each participant/group can register for one or more entries.

• Other creative performances

Performance Duration

Eligibility

• Open only for college level students

Theme

• The theme will be Youth Quill & Canvas (Creativity and Cultural Vibrancy)
• Participants are expected to interpret and express it creatively

Time Limit

• Duration: 1 hour will be provided to complete the live painting
• Strictly adhere to the time duration of the competition. Late submissions will not be accepted

This theme invites participants to delve into the depths of indigenous folklore, oral traditions, and cultural memory, and to reimagine them through a refined literary lens. It emphasizes the revival of forgotten narratives by transforming ancestral voices, myths, and folk wisdom into compelling contemporary storytelling while preserving their cultural authenticity and symbolic richness.

Introduction

The Indigenous Frames: PhotoStory competition invites participants to document and celebrate indigenous cultures, traditions, identities, landscapes, and contemporary indigenous life through the art of photography and visual storytelling. Participants are encouraged to present authentic narratives that reflect the richness of indigenous communities while respecting their cultural values and traditions.

Theme: “Voices Through Time: Stories, Traditions and Identity”

The Phrases of Our People: Reel Making Online Competition invites participants to create engaging short-form videos that celebrate indigenous cultures, traditions, languages, memories and contemporary identities. Through creative visual storytelling, participants are encouraged to document and showcase the living heritage of indigenous communities while promoting cultural appreciation, respect and awareness.

Eligibility

• The competition is open to all recognized colleges and universities.
• There is no limit on the number of participants a college may send.
• Each participant must be a bona fide student of the institution he/she represents.
• Participants will be  required to produce a valid institutional identity card during registration.

• To improve English vocabulary and spelling skills.
• To encourage correct pronunciation and word usage.
• To promote confidence in public speaking.
